We have yet to see a faulty jacket. However, if you do receive a faulty jacket, it comes with a 6-month warranty. This covers manufacturing faults but excludes normal wear and tear or incorrect use of the jacket. Incorrect use includes failing to follow the HOW DO I CARE FOR MY BATELA JACKET?  guide.

When returning a defective product, please email a photograph of the defective item as well as your proof of purchase to

You will be advised whether the product can be repaired or whether it will need to be replaced. You also have the option of a refund/or credit. Batela South Africa will be liable for the delivery charges if the product is found to be defective. The decision between repairing or replacing will be that of Batela South Africa depending on availability and other relevant circumstances.



If, for some reason, you wish to return your Batela jacket you will need to notify us within 5 days of receipt of your order. You may choose between a purchase price refund, product exchange or credit. You will need to return the Batela jacket to our offices in Johannesburg via courier/or by hand, at your own cost.

Please retain the jacket’s original packaging & swing tag, and do not wear the product. Please also ensure the items are returned in the exact condition they were received in in order to secure your refund, product exchange or credit.

If the incorrect jacket is delivered to you in error (i.e. it is not the product you purchased) please do not remove the jacket from its original packaging or try the product on at all. Please email to notify us of the error so that we can arrange collection of the jacket and deliver the correct one to you as soon as possible.

If your Batela jacket was purchased from one of our stockists and you would like to arrange an exchange, please return to the store and they will gladly assist.
